June 5th 2011 – Adapting Reflexology for Palliative and Terminal Care
Extra 2 hour Evening Meeting – Tuesday September 13th – Janet Brindley will talk on Buteyko Breathing.
This will also incorporate a chance to try some of the techniques. This meeting will be at the Billericay Reading Rooms in the High Street from 7.30 – 9.30 pm. There is plenty of parking behind Iceland which is free in the evenings.
September 25th – “Reflexology – The Power to Thrill”
An airing and sharing meeting focussing on the latest revisions we have to all be looking at to meet the changing directives regarding what we can and cannot say in our advertising literature and to our existing and potential clients in light of the ASA guidelines. We will look at how we can make this a positive change and use it to liberate us rather than hold us back!
NOTE – please bring your advertising literature and business cards if you are happy to share how you have made changes or are stuck and need ideas on how to proceed and what you can and cannot include these days! These will be put on a table to share ideas with the group during the meeting.
Julie Munnings will share the information she has gleaned on obtaining CRB disclosure via the Complementary Therapists Association – particularly important as a therapist working with vulnerable client groups. We will also look at registering for sole trader status with HMRC and Trading Standards Licencing requirements.
November 27th UPDATE NOVMEBER 2011 – This meeting is now on 20th November 2011 to fit in with the hall hirers
20th November 2011 – Learning Zones Meeting
Members will chose two learning zones of 1 hour each following on from feedback requesting longer in each zone. Subjects booked so far are: Adrenal Fatigue, Thyroid and Nutrition, and Theta Healing and Hot Stone Reflexology.
